I really like the quality of Apple monitors. I want to buy a monitor with similar characteristics, but from a different brand (it's clear that quality is important, but the fact that MacOSX is available).
Question - what monitors are closest to Apple monitors in terms of quality?

For myself, I concluded that the whole secret is that they do not use this miserable matte finish for monitors, but make them glossy. Even on an old macbook with a tft matrix, the image looks better than on a modern ips monitor with a matte finish. Try to look in shops glossy monitors.

If you need a picture quality commensurate with the Apple Cinema Display, then take a closer look at the Korean CrossOver monitors, they are just positioned as their counterpart.
