Which MCSA is needed before MCSD

Can you tell me which Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is needed / better to get a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)?
And is it necessary?

All MCSAs are equidistant from development in my opinion.

You don't need to get an MCSA to get an MCSD. Quite a different thread. Everything is clearer in this document.
