Which MacBook Pro to get for development?
I'm a JavaScrit developer (react, flux, node and all near floating technologies).
I work exclusively under linux, currently ubuntu and debian. I hate windows and all soft products.
I love Linux because I can manage everything here and I know all the processes that have any effect on the performance of my laptop. I hope that on a poppy, even if not so total, but still good process control is possible.
I want to buy a lightweight (up to 2kg) top-end laptop mainly for developing web and mobile applications (ios/android). Application development for ios without dancing with a tambourine is only possible on os x, so this is one of the most powerful arguments in choosing between a poppy and something else. Googled it, it turned out that the cost of top-end apple laptops is quite competitive and often lower than analogues from other well-known manufacturers (when compared by hardware).
Actually, I can’t decide whether to fork out for the most serious macbook 15 - a little more than 200 thousand, or will a macbook 15 be enough for me for ~ 100 pieces? Or is it still not a poppy?
Last year I worked in general on a 13-inch ZenBook. With ubuntu on board, performance was almost always enough. But it's easier here - I opened the console and into battle, no useless animations loading the system.
However, I also used a desktop PC a little in my work, but now I can’t - I need mobility.

If you need mobility, then MacBook Air 13, if not programming, but like "business", then some people like the 11 'version, although there are also programmers.
If the choice fell on the MacBook Pro, then this is definitely the need for Photoshop and video editing, for everything else it is too heavy, expensive and fast.

In essence, I personally dealt with the frontend on a macbook 13, retina, 2013. The flight is excellent.
But still I recommend taking the top one. With a margin. Understand that the MacBook is a serious tool that is taken for a very long time. Years for 5-7.
