Which MacBook Pro 15" to choose?
I'm buying a Macbook Pro for design work, but I can't decide on the model:
Apple MacBook Pro 15'' Retina (2015) [MJLQ2]
Apple MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar (2016) [MLW72]
Almost the same price difference of 100 $
USB 3.1 Type C connectors scare me on new ones, I have all devices with USB 3.0,
There is a feeling that the Touch Bar is also not needed,
16 years old is a little more powerful, in Re-store they have the same price,
I want to take a Eurotest, does it make sense pay $500 for a Cyrillic keyboard?
Weight and dimensions are also not important. Here is
a link to a comparison: https://catalog.onliner.by/compare/mlw72+mjlq2
Maybe there is an analogue on Windows?although I doubt it.Who
thinks?)

When I didn’t buy a macbook, I got the Russian letters on the keyboard straight from the store. So there is such a service, and it obviously does not cost $500.
usb type c kmk, not a problem at all, such charging is easier to find than magnetic. So I would suggest a more recent version
I think that most of the questions are individual and it is not clear why you are asking us them. If I don't need a Cyrillic keyboard, I'll say one thing, and if I do, I'll say something else. Do you need?
I tried this poppy with a touchbar, I didn't like it. You accidentally touch the touchbar, something happens by itself there. No F-ok.
There are no normal ports, adapters are needed. No magnetic charging, it was a killer feature. In short, I decided for myself - as long as there is an opportunity, I will not take it.
Do not worry like that, the top-end macbook of the last generation will work for another 5 years without problems. So aim for the periphery that you have now.
thinkpad ultrabook) is 1.5 times cheaper
, actually I am writing from an old iMac, an old axis something like a mountain lion, but I used the latest Mac Book Air 2017 7 pieces and the latest versions of MacOS X. This is terrible. Mac OS is stupid, one of 7 laptops gave artifacts all over the screen (video card glitch, had to be changed under warranty) Therefore, thinkpad + Linux is my advice, although I don’t have a thinkpad myself, I just felt it for work.
UPD: oops, just saw that for design. I take my words about Linux back, although on it you can do anything without Adobe and with it (via wine).
I bought a MacBook Pro 15 retina - almost a year, the flight is excellent. True, some (most) sites have a favicon that is NOT retina-friendly, which makes the images pixelated/blurry a bit - but that's a trifle :)
For me, English clave looks better and a minimum of characters, I started typing and immediately got into Russian letters automatically. So I’m not particularly worried about this, especially since the Kazakh language will soon switch to the Latin alphabet.
