Which Mac mini to get for development?
Hello.
I want to buy a mac mini for app development.
In fact, I will only run XCODE, an emulator and a browser.
I would like to find the optimal balance between ease of use and cost.
Found MGEM2 for $660. But the frequency is confusing - 1.4GHz.
Please advise.

Take on i7 you can top-end, you can almost top-end. Required 16Gb RAM. Definitely an SSD. Otherwise, you will regret it, I guarantee. Do not skimp on money for the sake of your own development convenience. You can take the 12th year. If you take the 14th year, there is memory that is not expandable by handles - order immediately from the 16th then. SSD like hands can be installed, although the warranty flies by, so either order immediately with an SSD or break off with a guarantee. Take a weaker configuration - you will swear for a long time and curse Apple and 100% development in general.
Depends on what applications you are going to develop. If there is no serious 3D graphics, huge textures, tons of videos and other delights of modern life, then it is quite possible to take something inexpensive. RAM preferably 8GB. You don't need much more just yet, unless you like to keep a bunch of apps in the background. I advise SSD regardless of what you are going to do. Especially if you do not store heavy files on it, a 128GB SSD is inexpensive and convenient. At least because everything will open much faster with it, and generally more pleasant to work with.
haiku , how do you think something works for MBAs and junior MPBs then? In the same place, everything is bad then it should be.
Good afternoon!
I plan to buy a poppy mini to learn xCode and, possibly, further work in it. The budget is limited.
I choose between two Mac minis:
1. Apple Mac mini MGEQ2 - Core i5 2.8 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Fusion Drive
2. Apple Mac mini Z0R70001VCore i5 (2.6 GHz) / 16 GB RAM / 1TB HDD
What to prefer: more RAM or Fusion Drive (SSD + HDD)? I'm leaning towards the first option. Thank you.
