Which Linux takes up less space once installed on disk?
The lab requires a Linux virtual machine (not a LiveCD). Preferably debian- or rpm-based. Since the virtual machine will be posted on the Internet, I want Linux to take up little disk space.

The most minimal, although not debian/rpm, is alpine (a few megabytes)
The most minimalist debian is debian minimal
And what does the Internet and little space have to do with it?
Install debian minimal, the rest as needed
In the case of c rpm based - Centos minimal installation and after that, you can still remove unnecessary packages manually.
Completely self-made, even from a deb, at least from an RPM, from which everything superfluous is cut out with pens: mana, documentation, and other junk.
It is also worth looking in the direction of openwrt, it focuses on systems with a root partition of 8 mb
Least of all - arch. But it all depends on how you set it up.
True, it is not RPM. But if this is not critical for the lab, then it is quite possible to use it
I would say DSL (latest update 2008) and Tiny Core Linux, Puppy GNU/Linux
And if you want to tinker with it yourself, take a look: Wiki
