Which Linux distribution is good in terms of security?

Acer swift 3 laptop, recommend a distro that is good in terms of security (permanent security updates and so on).

Hmm ... Extremely holivar topic.
Do you have any preferences? Any experience with any Linux family?
If not, then: Ubuntu (Debian family)
If you want more at the peak of innovation, then Fedora 33 (RedHat family). Fedora 34 is highly discouraged. There, by default, Gnome 4, and it is still incomplete.
Although I prefer Fedora, I would recommend Ubuntu for a beginner. A lot more information.
In terms of security, it is not the distribution that rules, but the user. And even better - the administrator :)
