Which Linux based OS is better than Ubuntu?
I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, there were a couple of bugs, some of them were quite serious (for example, all windows were covered with a pattern of fonts), I decided to install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS in the hope that there were fewer bugs and a lot was fixed. Result: the OS was wildly buggy, hung up, the Flash player crashed and gave an error, etc., etc.
Now I'm in a terrible rage because it took a week to install Ubuntu (for a long time I was prevented from doing this by windows 8 and UEFI).
Tell me an OS similar to Ubuntu, but more stable

You most likely have a problem with video drivers (specify video card) and unity. Try installing gnome instead of unity (there is also a separate build of ubuntu gnome).
The best in my opinion is Debian 8 Testing. Very stable, although it says "testing" it does not affect anything. Works like clockwork! And it's not buggy and the software is very fresh and the core too) In general, I advise it!
Stable? Try FreeBSD :) No, seriously, great OS. But not the fact that iron there will be supported better.
