Which lightweight but secure CMS to choose?
I have been working with Wordpress for a long time, as CMS suits me perfectly, except for one thing, it is getting harder and harder ...
Now there is a need to create a simple site, I want to choose a CMS from some lightweight ones, but I am concerned about the security issue. There are attacks on WP every day, site traffic is not important, everything that occurs is hammered, fortunately there are plugins that protect against these attacks, I think this is brute force, and maybe they are also looking for holes.
And what about the security of lightweight CMS? There are many of them, in php and without it, with and without a database ... But I can’t decide. The functionality requires the form to be submitted. Well, the control panel is minimal.
How can such sms be protected? How to make a login only from a specific ip, if this is not provided by the developers? Maybe at the server level, then how?

Wordpress is full of holes if you don't update it and install all plugins indiscriminately.
A simple site - it's better to write it yourself on some framework. You can take something like OctoberCMS (I chose CMS based on framework at the request). They usually come with the most minimal functionality.
You can protect the admin panel in different ways, from creating an .htaccess file with access denied by IP, to more advanced methods.
In your case, WP is not a bad option.
www.kan-studio.ru this one, normal is no better than wp and no worse, but MaxSite cms is finally atas
MODX CMS
If initially configured, you get a completely secure system
