Which laser color printer to choose so that it prints b / w after the color cartridge runs out?

Colleagues, prompt a question on a subject?
I am looking for a laser printer for the home so that it can continue printing in b / w after the color consumables run out. As far as I know HP has problems with this. I look in the direction of Canons. It is desirable that it was not necessary to change the printer.

First about the good!
1 Canon and HP are one and the same.
2 Devices of both manufacturers will print in the same way when the color cartridges have run out only in black.
Now about the [s]bad[/s] reality
1 The printing technology is such that if you do not use any color / colors, the toner in these cartridges will still gradually "flow" into the trash. For example, if you print only in black and use more than 3 black cartridges, then the garbage compartments of all other cartridges will overflow and spill over into the printed text.
Therefore, for printing only in black, it is desirable to clean the rest of the cartridges from the toner after the end.
2 Replacement of chips is not required for printing - the current balance and consumption will not be available, but this is not critical.
3 The cost of restoring both black and color cartridges is the same.
Which specific printer to take is based on the required volumes, although the initial one is most likely enough for the home, something like the CLJ 1025 or the Canon * analogue.
In general, for good, your desire is a whim. Buy any b.w. entry-level Canon/HP and enjoy for years to come.
