Are there printers with roll paper as in a fax machine?

I welcome everyone!
Has anyone met in their life or perhaps knows about the existence of printers with roll paper, where the width of the roll is equal to the width of an A4 sheet, i.e. 21cm?
Connecting an old fax to a PC is a good idea, but it does not fit in two ways:
1. The PCs are small, you can’t plug an old modem into them, except to use an old external one connected via USB.
2. The printed text should be stored for a long time. Older faxes use thermal printing. And as you know, the text (image) printed in this way disappears over time.
What goals are pursued by me in the search for a printer (MFP):
1. Use of thin paper
2. Small size of the device. Save space on your desktop.
3. Relatively cheap printing. At least, so that refilling the cartridge + paper is cheaper than thermal printing (thermal paper).
4. Automatic selection of paper length. What I mean is that I have a thermal receipt printer, so he somehow understands when you need to cut the paper. We print the generated pdf-documents through the browser. those. it turns out that the printer understands what print format a particular pdf document has and cuts it off as it should. On the contrary, he has a problem - he cannot set a fixed paper size.)
5. Printing is faster than fast. In this case, any extra time is critical)
6. Duplex printing is desirable. By the way, are there at least duplex thermal printers (at least receipt printers)?
7. The ability to scan to a PC, as in laser faxes (paper passes through the scanning element, and not vice versa. The scanner will rarely be used. Again, saving space on the desktop).
PS: I started working in a polyclinic and noticed that they spend a lot of paper here and "inflate" outpatient cards with this thick paper (the shelf life of which is 25 years after being archived, as I understand it).
Almost all of the above goals could be solved in another way, not by searching for magic printers, if the software was adequate. It would be possible to print in Amb. stick cards after reception. That is, to put a good printer with duplex printing in the card storage (the place where ambulance cards are accepted and issued to nurses) and print (+ paste into the card) after receiving all the records made by the doctors who examined the patient.

Suitable for thermal printers with a width of 210mm. Dimensions are approximately 250 by 60 by 30. Consumables are expensive. In a roll about 10-15 A4. Printers themselves in the region of 18k.rub Double-
sided thermal printing does not physically exist.
Matrix box 300 by 120 by 100. I have not seen perversions with two heads.
No one made a duplex on a roll for the mass segment. If this is implemented, then the case will be slightly smaller than the bedside table.
Laser and inkjet printing requires paper with a density of 80 mg or more. On thin and bad will not work.
You described fantasy. This is currently not feasible.

You need an industrial thermal transfer printer. For example Toshiba B-852 or Godex HD830i
