OpenJDK is enough for you. Install the LTS version. The last LTS is 11. The penultimate one is 8. What to study on the one, what on the other - there is not much difference. One fig, the majority is still sitting on 8 and not in a hurry to switch to 11, if you also take into account the breaking changes between 8 and 9. I don’t know anything about Android and its java version.
I will not get tired of promoting sdkman - with it you can easily install and change different versions of java. I did not install it on Windows, but on the installer page they say that it is possible with such and such a mother.
