Which is more suitable for embedded systems automation and robotics?
You have to choose between two languages: assembly language and Python. What is more suitable for automation and robotics? About myself, I’ll say that I know C.
Before that, I studied Python and assembly language, now I have to make a choice where to go deeper. What more is needed?

Why choose these languages?
Do you understand that there is no universal language for automation and robotics?
It is necessary to look at what the vendor specifically of your "robot" came up with.
Somewhere, something of their own may be used, somewhere they integrated LUA, somewhere else, roughly speaking, the assembler was not delivered for convenient development, it exists only on paper.
Choose knowledge of algorithms and target hardware.
The choice of language is secondary.
To begin with, Codesys (three main languages: Pascal type ST and graphical CFC and SFC), for MatLab algorithms (you can also use Stateflow, which is similar to SFC, but translates the algorithm into the ST controller language).
for amateur purposes, you can choose arduino and iskra.js
and, accordingly, C ++ or JS
knowing C ++ you can program industrial controllers
