Which is faster: Win7 or Win8.1?
There is an HP 6710b laptop
CPU: Core2Duo 2.1Ghz T8100
GPU: intel GMA965
Ram: 3Gb DDR2
SSD: 120Gb
Win 7 x86
Tasks: surfing, cinema, RDP, occasionally Photoshop, Corel and Office.

Win8.1
But not by much.
It doesn't make much sense to move. There is also the question of usability in general, and convenience for you personally.
Each next version of Microsoft products works one and a half times slower than the previous one.
PS According to Moore's law, computing power of computers doubles every 18 months. How fast should Microsoft release new versions without users noticing Moore's Law?
I wanted to install 8.1 recently, but still nothing.
I also remember when I didn’t want to switch to 7k with XP, but when I switched I realized that I had to do it earlier.
In general, performance 7/8 seems to be the same, I don’t know how things are with 8.1
