Which is easier for PHP to understand: python or nodeJS?

Task: create an outsourced service, then support it with your own team.
We have a dude who can outsource the service we need, but the problem is that he writes only in python / nodejs.
And we (the team), in turn, write in PHP =)
The service needs to be filed yesterday, but the team is still busy. The dude will not be able to support himself. We don't trust other guys.
What language to choose for writing an application by an outsourcer, so that it would be easier for us hacks to support it?)

It would be nice to describe at least in general terms what kind of service. The complexity of further support is determined not only by the complexity of the tool itself.
You can implement it even in C#, even in Go, but that's where the crutches and other ingenious, if not more, solutions will be - that's the question.
And so - yes, it will most likely be easier to switch to Python.

It depends on the service.
If there is a lot of business logic, then python.
If something is on the reactor - then JS.
