Which is better to choose a router with USB 3.0 for an external HDD?

The device is needed for storage and replenishment through torrents of the film library of the class "watch a TV series in the evening." I don’t want to reflash anything, I feel sorry for the money for a separate NAS, storage reliability is not required.
Is it possible to solve the problem with a modern router and an external drive?
Can someone share the real experience of operating the Asus RT-N65U in this mode or analogues (if they exist)?

Maybe off topic, but buy an android whistle for such purposes and watch movies / TV shows through it.
I also used to invent bicycles with rtorrent and rss readers, now all this is superfluous ...

Any USB router will work. There will still be no speeds of 80-90 MB / s.
