Which is better: one server per bot, or can you host several on one server?

There was a question from the customer, I somehow made bots for him, he hosts all this on one VPS, and is going to host 4 bots on the same VPS where three other bots are stored.
Is it normal to host several bots on one server at once, or should one server be for one bot?
I also have shared hosting, I made a subdomain yesterday, I will host one of my bots there. Over time, I think to make another subdomain for another bot. True, or not? What advice can there be (do not use shared hosting, do not make bots on subdomains, etc..)?
