Which is better for indie game development Unity or Unreal engine?

What is better to choose for an indie project in terms of ease of learning and affordable?
A 2.5D game is planned, I want to immediately support PC, Android, iOS.
It seems Unity is simpler, but you need to pay $3000 for the iOS and Android license to remove their splash screen +1.5k$
Unreal Engine better graphics, support for all the platforms I need (+PC Linux), they also need to deduct if the income is more than $3000 but it is not clear whether this includes advertising and donations.
Maybe there are some other engines with multiplatform support for developing 2.5D games, in which you do not need to buy any licenses, etc. ?

Includes total net income, excluding taxes and fees.
You can try CoronaSDK, though there, both in terms of graphics and functionality, everything is much poorer.
I would go to Unreal only if I have normal C++ skills and a desire to get into their Trello / Github issues in case of problems, and there are still enough bugs there. In terms of out-of-the-box functionality, UE now has a big advantage.
Unity is more stable, less performant, much simpler, and slightly cheaper in the long run (more than 2 years of project life).

this is some very outdated data, all this has long been free (well, it’s clear that iOS needs a Mac).
Do you really need to remove their splash screen? I doubt that someone will make a refund after seeing the unity logo on the splashscreen :)

I am for UE4. Very cool community, huge possibilities of the engine. Unity is also very good, but falls behind Anril.

Unity3D is simpler, more PR and training materials, lower level of entry, and its capabilities are enough for indie games.

Unity - entry threshold is easier. Lots of tutorials, including 2.5D tutorials. Big asset story. Large
UE community - harder to learn but better graphics.
I would advise you to take Unity, the features of the free version are enough "to the head". Pay money to change splash, imho, extra waste for indies.
