Which is better and why: One model with a long life or several with short ones?

I understand that there can be no universal solutions, but here is the question:
In Android development, what do you prefer and why: One data model with a lifetime equal to the lifetime of a single activity (when the entire application is built on fragments, and the activity in the singular represents a host for fragments) or models for each fragment where the data is used?

Of course the second. The first is impossible on any large application.
