Which hypervisor to choose for Ubuntu 14.04?
I want to use Ubuntu 14.04 as my main working PC.
Problem with choosing a hypervisor.
Currently using Windows + VMware Workstation
I want to completely abandon Windows and switch to Ubuntu.
Requires a hypervisor to run multiple Windows and Linux virtual machines
Purpose: for labs, etc.
What will be more stable and work better on Desktop Ubuntu 14.04 if you are not familiar with Linux hypervisors.
What to choose ? What is the easiest to set up and most convenient to use?
OpenVZ, KVM, XEN or something else

Yes, you can also choose VirtualBox so as not to bother. I use it at work to work with windows, it has never let me down so far. It was necessary quickly, reliably and yesterday))
can you also use VMware Workstation for virtual machines, or Virtualbox,
or do you basically need a hypervisor under level 0?
Thanks for the answers, I'll start with a friendlier and simpler virtul box hypervisor under linux.
For a kind of "complete" refusal :) from Windows, I would recommend kvm + virt-manager. Unfortunately, Virtualbox has become very behind in development - poor 3D, no passthrough.
KVM virtual machines, if the work of this hypervisor does not suit you, can be adapted to the familiar VirtualBox, so I recommend paying attention to KVM.
