How to solve ruby issue when installing GitLab on Debian 7?

I install GitLab, rather crookedly, through their .deb package. At first, the problem was in the mismatch of the architecture, because their majesties do not do it under i686, but I have just that. I did
dpkg --add-architecture amd64
it and it got up ... sort of, even without visible errors (do not blame strictly, it was necessary, of course, either to migrate to another architecture or simply rearrange to amd64, but I'm too lazy and not up to it)))
As a result, I have it now on the latest instruction from the same site

Configure and start GitLab
sudo gitlab-ctl reconfigure

gives this:
/usr/bin/gitlab-ctl: /opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/omnibus-ctl: /opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/ruby: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

There are two more threads on this issue (all I could dig in Google). Regarding the fact that the problem is possible in PATH - yes, it’s possible, with the second thread it’s not clear at all. Comrades, what should I do to make it work?)

@uakoB

Don't install from their deb package. My advice to you.
