Which HDD to choose from the list?
Good day.
Help me choose HDD. I buy a hard drive mainly for storing files (the first month, before buying an SSD, it will be used as the main one).
For myself, I noticed 5 models:
- Toshiba P300;
— Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003;
— Western Digital WD10EZEX;
— server Seagate SV35.6 ST1000VX000;
- server Hitachi Ultrastar A7K3000 (2 TB).
Which HDD is better in your opinion and why?
Thanks a lot!

It is better not to take server ones on a working computer - they have specifics in the firmware. If slow blocks or BEDs appear, they can simply turn off.
Then WD is green (in your list - WD is blue) If it is not accessed, it quickly stops and sleeps. When handled, it spins. I installed the system on such ones too - there are no problems.
I would choose WD. And not green, and not blue, but red for occasional use for archival purposes, or black for permanent active work.
Black - 5 years manufacturer's warranty (without a receipt and regardless of the place of purchase) and excellent speed,
Red - economical and does not heat up.
