Asterisk

Which gateway to choose for Asterisk?

I will briefly describe what I want to do:
There is a server at home, an asterisk is installed,
at home there is also a regular landline phone.
Which gateway to choose to make outgoing calls from an asterisk through a city line?
For example Grandstream HT502 is suitable? And what parameters to look at the gateway to understand whether such a function is available.
And for the future: are all asterisk gateways able to make outgoing calls?
What is FXS & FXO (I read Wikipedia, but it's not clear).
What port is stuck in my phone at home?

FXO (Office) is a telephone set
FXS (Station) is an automatic telephone exchange
Do you need Asterisk to pretend to be a telephone? Your choice - FXO
Do you need to plug a regular phone into Asterisk? You need FXS
The grandstream you mentioned is FXS, it's designed to connect two telephones to it.
A copper telephone pair comes to your house and enters a regular telephone? You need an FXO gateway so that the asterisk can replace the phone.
Naturally, FXO and FXS allow communication in both directions.

I advise you to buy GIGASET C530A IP and not think about gateways.

You just "wrong figure" - take HT503 on it and FXS (connect your analog phone) and FXO (connect your analog line coming from the PBX).
Well, no one forbids shamanism (tying up this gateway) with Asterisk.
