Which free SSL is best?

Hello! In light of the news:

Google has published on its official blog that as of January 2017, all sites running on HTTP will be marked as insecure in the Chrome browser. Thus, Google decided to warn users that the site they visited does not provide secure data transfer, and any personal information that they enter on the site may be intercepted by attackers. All sites that transmit any user data (passwords, credit card numbers, etc.), but do not use the HTTPS protocol, will be marked as Not secure in the Chrome browser:

I think which free ssl is better to choose for a blog https://startssl.com/ or https://www.cloudflare.com/
or don’t sweat it for a penny and buy comodo https://cheapsslsecurity.com/ for 5 bucks ?

Depending on what your blog hoster provides you - see if you can do (free!) https://letsencrypt.org/
Well, startssl for the blog will be the very thing, IMHO.

I used StartSSL for many years - first paid, then free.
And now I set up Let's Encrypt for all my sites and forgot about the question altogether.

No.
WoSign, which all lovers of freebies love, is hacked and Mozilla is discussing the removal of its root certificates from the list of trusted
Mozilla is discussing the removal of WoSign root CAs
I would buy - five bucks a year is generally ridiculous money

WoSign is still possible, free of charge and for three years,
but from the Chinese - for some it may be a minus

I personally would never even get in touch with those who do not have or who regret paying 5 usd per year, much less read their blogs or mailing lists
