Which framework is better to use for working with core image or core graphic?

The question is, which framework should be used to work with a core image or core graphic? the tasks are as follows: crop the photo, add a filter, replace a separate piece of the photo, glue it, and so on. I suspect that 2 at once, could you explain what exactly each one is for?
