Which file stores the list of accounts in cpanel?

You need to view the list of cpanel accounts/users not through the web interface. You need either a file with records or a command in the console. (cpanel is on Linux)

the simplest: ls /home
and it also lives as a list of directories in /var/cpanel/users (from memory, I may be wrong)

create a new account in cpanel and do
find /var -mmin -5 -ls

Such a file simply does not exist. Try the script: www.linuxspy.info/1641/shell-script-to-list-all-cp... after a bit of tweaking, it will do just fine.
