Which engine to choose for documentation?

Hey!
There was a need to create space for storing documentation (text pages categorized).
Wiki shallows (difficult to install/maintain, as well as unfamiliar syntax)
daux.io and other Markdown engines were also excluded due to the difficulty of updating the article database.
Perhaps someone will offer more convenient engines?
PS As a last resort, we consider WordPress, but the need to create a theme does not inspire (I really liked the look of daux.io)

Wiki shallows

It's very strange, because this class of engines is just sharpened for documentation. Installing and maintaining is no more difficult than any other engine, and the syntax is a matter of habit. To any engine you need to get used to and learn.
There is no such need. There are more than 4500 themes for every taste in the office catalog today. (and you need to take it only here, and not somewhere from the garbage heaps of the Internet with viruses).

If you are used to WYSIWYG editors , I would advise you to use the same Joomla! with an automatic cross-linking plugin between articles, which itself creates links if it sees a mention of an already described object.
It is quite convenient and you write in familiar conditions.
Also in Joomla there is the creation of custom fields for the article WITHOUT PLUGINS, IMMEDIATELY "OUT OF THE BOX" after installation.
PS: If you need help, I'm ready to participate for a low price in creating such a site. (because I myself translate various kinds of documentation and I would also need a similar functionality)

Well, if the wiki is shallow, then you probably need to try 1C-Bitrix.

Another good option is www.mkdocs.org .
Live use case: docs.armbian.com
