Which engine to choose for development on a weak PC?

I want to try my hand at creating games, to make at least some first project. But my laptop is not very powerful and therefore does not pull heavy programs well. I tried to install Unity - the 2019 version works, but often lags, the build of an empty project takes about 3 minutes. Will it be ok if I install unity version 5? Or are there any other easy to learn and lightweight engines? I want to write for Android, I can use both windows and linux.

The engine is usually selected for the game , not for the PC. The fact is that the cost of a PC is disproportionately small compared to the cost of development, and even more so with subsequent investments in marketing, since you want it for Android.
And the game itself does not begin with the engine, but with a document, where at least 3 paragraphs tell what it will be like - a concept , a vision. Then you can describe the game design document (GDD) in more detail. Do at least this so that you are not ashamed to show it.
They practically do not make games alone, except perhaps a snake or tags, as a training project. Therefore, teamwork skills are important. But still, even alone, it is better to immediately study what development stages exist.to understand what they need and how long they will take. The idea and concept is just the first stage.
