Which engine to choose for corporate social. networks?

The task was to make a small corporate news/blog portal with social elements. networks.

I initially chose wordpress, since the abundance of plugins allows you to make anything out of it and everything listed above is there, but ... I don’t like access to the admin panel for users in this engine. I would like to have a separate interface for them.

Nothing that social networks do not do in PHP for a number of technical reasons?
Of course there is "like a social network", but what is a social network without real-time updates? And for them you need comets, but PHP just doesn’t work with a comet due to its scripting.

По ad не скажу, скорее всего отдельно заказывать придется интеграцию, но с остальным друпал справится.
