Which engine to choose for a small 3D C++ project?

What game engines are suitable for a small 3D C++ project? I would like it to be a free, not too complicated, cross-platform engine if possible. Who has experience, tell me, I will be grateful.

I don't have much experience but know about godot.
in general, the engine is just fine, but if you work with C ++, you will have to tinker with GDNative a bit, and before that you will have to master the engine itself (at least it took me a long time).
supports GDScript, C++ and C#.
pluses:
opensource
weight 50 mb
good off. documentation
cons:
information outside off. docks little
translation is not complete, I just use a translator
a little more about the engine:

GDNative:

SDL (not quite an engine), Unity (not quite simple and not very C++). Still, I recommend Unity.
