Which editor to use to create a wordpress theme?

There are editors that greatly simplify the creation of themes for WordPress. Take the same Pinegrow, in which creating topics is just a pleasure. But he is paid. Are there any alternatives to quickly create WordPress themes (front-end + back-end)?

For Wordpress/PHP development I use Netbeans or PhpStorm. There is an autocomplete of WordPress functions, HTML, CSS, but there is no such visual editing. Haven't seen anything like Pinegrow.

What you mean is lego code builder, not frontend+backend. If you go (really create ) - any editor, from Notepad.exe to Sublime Text or PHPStorm. If you like checkers, and even for free - well .. try Page Builder , or something.

If you want to do at a good level, maybe you are even a premium, then forget about visual editors.
brackets . There is an extension to it for auto-completing wp-functions + live preview with a highlight from the box for statics. If it’s php right away, then you can set up gulp and develop with no less pleasure.
