Which distro is better to put on Usb HDD?

I put a rat on a terabyte usb hdd. After trying to deploy monodevelop on it, the initramfs crashed. Advise more suitable for such things distr.

The one you like best. All will work fine.
This is how Ubuntu works for me.
In UEFI mode, I could not start, only in BIOS / MBR.
