Which distribution kit that meets the listed requirements should I choose for Java/Android dev?
Dealt only with debian-based distributions. It is better, of course, to stay with them, but this is not critical.
I have requirements:
- Stability. I think Debian has no equal here. But I would like something more balanced in terms of the freshness of the software.
- Compatible with AMD graphics cards. At least to work on Lenovo G500 in "Switchable graphics" mode. And so that the brightness changes and does not reset when you reboot.
- IntelliJ Idea, Oracle JDK and Android SDK work without dancing. Ubuntu has wildly nasty huge fonts that could not be completely fixed (installing a patched OpenJDK is not suitable, because I need an Oracle implementation).
- A minimum of body movements during installation and use. It is advisable to burn a USB flash drive, boot, create partitions next to efi and Windows and wait. (because of this, I don’t consider Arch / Gentoo and the like in principle). I don't want to rearrange DE, pick fixes, oh how I don't want to. Is that on
- Cuteness. This is a subjective moment, but as I said, DE is too lazy to rearrange, so something like Cinnamon / Unity is desirable out of the box.
- Speed. Well, Ubuntu with Unity depresses me (I have an HDD, I don’t plan to change it yet), but Cinnamon on Mint moves quite quickly.
So far, the same Debian (but, in my opinion, there are some troubles with the installation), OpenSUSE (honestly - for the sake of interest and because Torvalds seems to be sitting on it), Manjaro (Arch with a human face) .

I've been sitting on OpenSuSE for about 5 years, the video card from AMD (R7 260X) works fine, as does the IDE from JetBrains. I can’t say by speed, I need to look at a specific hardware. Much is simply configured through YaST.
