Which direction to choose. Game dev or Mobile dev?
Which direction to choose. Game dev or Mobile dev? Who has a lower entry threshold? Android development or Unity development? Where can you create something in a short time and upload it to the network? Where is more promising? What about VR and AR? Tell me your opinion. I will be glad.

For short ones, nothing can be done and an adequate release will not work. In terms of perspective and complexity of learning, it is almost the same, Unity is a little more difficult.
Mobile dev will be easier. Because Game dev requires a lot of heterogeneous knowledge, it's about how to create certain feelings in the player. At the same time, players have different tastes and preferences. And a simple application should meet only the criteria of convenience and usefulness, that is, it is easy to formulate the purpose of the application both for itself and for users, and not deviate from it. (And I mean the goal is not to make money, but more substantive).
Unity is more suitable for anything that has rich 3d graphics and animations. In general, the entry threshold purely for programming there and there is approximately the same.
Nothing can be done in a short amount of time. At each stage, you will have to figure out what needs to be done. For example, you have encountered an elusive bug and have been trying to fix it for a week now. Or they don’t want to approve your application for the 10th time. This is hard to predict in advance.
More promising? For what reason? I would look at the level of satisfaction. And this means that it is more promising where you yourself like it more and what you understand more about, what your soul lies in.
VR and AR - we all follow this sphere, but so far there is nothing special to catch there. There is no sharp rise, like the iPhones at one time. Maybe you will be the first to come up with something really cool and the whole VR/AR market will follow you.
