You are unlikely to get a mechanical one. Minus electronic - considers any load, even 0.5 watts. Reliability - works 5th year. So far so good.

Energy meter CE102-R5 has worked for 10 years and continues to work.
Secondly, there are rules for newly installed meters - they must be able to connect to automated systems for collecting and transmitting readings. There are no electromechanical meters with such an opportunity.
And thirdly, now the meter must be changed and installed by the energy sales company (they will supply what they need themselves).
