Which CMS to choose for an online bookstore (OpenCart vs PrestaShop)?
There is already an old store and it works on joomla...
Finally we decided to move to a convenient CMS
But which one to choose?
So far, OpenCart and PrestaShop are among the leaders in the selection.
Does PrestaShop have any obvious advantages that are not so easy to solve with modules in opencart? Or maybe disadvantages?
We need search filters, tags for products, etc.
We have about 1000 products. including e-books. There is a large news section (static pages)
There is no integration with 1s, but sometime in the future we plan to
attend less, 100-150 per day

Better than OpenCart, it is more convenient and understandable. Under it there are many modules that you will need for IM.
I have Presta at work, but I use Open myself. The guys developed are not happy with Presta. They say the system is heavy. Personally, I don't like the file directory structure. The MVC model is both there and there, but in Opencart you will quickly understand the functionality. Recommend. Plus VQMOD is present which makes it easy to install modules.
Opencart definitely
From the "box" presta has more functionality, but opencart has a much larger set of modules, themes, community. And much cheaper everything and development too
+1 for Opencart!
Because: mvc, a large community of Russian-speaking developers, many modules and templates.
