Which browser allows you to freeze (really!) all tabs except the current one?

I'll elaborate in more detail so that there are no unnecessary off-topic answers.

  1. I tried different add-ons, but they all have the same problem, the memory is still not released and slows down even with all the frozen tabs.
  2. This is required for low-power computers, which sometimes even drag one tab with a loaded web application because of scripts (RAM 3GB, WINXP)
  3. The problem is also relevant on much more powerful PCs, because. I like to keep open tabs that you need to constantly remember.
  4. As I see the solution. All tabs, either upon request or after a while, are completely unloaded to disk as if they never existed, in return, you can only leave in memory a screenshot, icon, title, maybe a list of links from this page, in general, everything that does not eat memory and processor time at all.
    Thus, we get the appearance (this is enough) that 200 tabs are working simultaneously, but the RAM and processor are at full disposal for only one active tab (or several).
    (Isn't it the perfect solution?)
  5. I also use the option of saving all tabs to favorites, convenient, but rather as a reservation for tabs. Cons: no icons, can't rate content until the page is fully loaded, links are harder to access than tabs.
  6. I welcome solutions to speed up work through the browser's system settings, for example, the ability to limit tabs to a memory size of 10MB, or something else so that the browser does not freeze itself without understanding why. the main problem is that even if you close all 100-200 tabs and leave only one, the browser will continue to be stupid until it is restarted. Which is very annoying. there is no progress in this in the last 10 years.
  7. The Quantum version is not considered, because requires above Win7 x64. At the same time, the speed of work and stability really increased significantly, but nothing has changed with the release of memory.
  8. All methods and additions for freeing memory turned out to be useless, because. clear, apparently, something else, tk. memory usage statistics always showed some funny numbers (within 100mb even with 100 tabs).
  9. Utilities for viewing or even freeing memory are also welcome, if they show the real picture (corresponding to the used memory in the task manager).

@edikl

try the slimjet browser with the great suspender extension, and when there are many tabs, collect them in collections using the toby extension
