Which brand/model of turntable should I choose?

Actually the question is
Which brand / model of the turntable to choose?
You need to be able to play vinyl records and cds. this is for mom.
Here's what we found, but we don't really understand. Maybe there are better, more reliable brands within the same price range?

Firstly. If you really want quality, then look into separate turntables for vinyl and CD.
It is also obvious that this option will require some active speakers, or (in the ideal case) a receiver with a pair of passive speakers.
Better buy some used DJ Technics. Or Denon, at worst. For the specified amount, from time to time you can find copies at the flea market. In terms of quality, even they will definitely be better than any household player for the same price, even if this household one is new. On the other hand, DJ speakers have their own nuances - firstly, if you use it with active speakers, you need to make sure that it has a built-in phono stage. Secondly, DJ buesh players often kill whole heads or needles. For DJs, this is a consumable item, so if you come across such an instance, these are trifles, you can buy the cheapest needles for replacement, and it’s not difficult to change the whole head there in general.
Well, one more thing - if you don’t have a receiver, but there are speakers and separate players for vinyl and sit - do not forget that you need to choose the source with something else, that is, the speakers must have two inputs =) That is why I wrote at the beginning that the receiver option is the best.
Well, yes, all of the above is only true if you really want a truly high-quality turntable. Everything that is on your link is real rubbish, however, if you were satisfied with how grandfather's radio sounded the size of a pack of cigarettes, connected to a radio outlet, you can safely take it, I think the quality will suit you. And CD stationary so in general any can be taken.
