Which book is the best choice for learning web technologies (particularly HTML and CSS) from scratch?

Actually, the question is in the title.
I want to drag a girl from a low-profit industry to my own)
I myself have been a web programmer (backend) for 7 years already... but how and where to start teaching a person who does not know anything about web technologies at all is a snag.
I will be grateful for hints.

1. Peter Tashkov "Web-mastering from scratch". The book is not the best, but it will do well as a reference book.
2. It is best to watch video tutorials, which are full on the Internet, to get the initial skills. Without them, the book will be difficult to understand.
3. Then the same htmlbook.ru, for example
I am not a programmer myself, I know HTML a little by self-study.

The "Big Book of CSS" by David McFarland is the bible of CSS.
And one more thing - do not read Russian books on CSS.
