Which Arduino and accessories to choose?

Help me to understand. I want to buy an Arduino with Ethernet and GSM / GPRS modules and I have questions about the completeness and characteristics.

Components:
- Arduino Uno Rev3
- Arduino Ethernet Shield
- GPRS / GSM Quadband Module for Arduino (SIM900)

Will such a sandwich work and how many free analog and digital inputs / outputs will it have?

What is better to take? Arduino Uno or Arduino Ethernet? I would like the maximum number of I / O.

Hey! passion for a large number of ports is easy to remove if you take “mega” instead of “uno” (http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/arduino-mega-2560.html). their wiring is compatible, so those shields that work on the un will go on the mega. as for the work of the sandwich - look at the examples of programs for each of the shields: if they do not use the same port, then _hardware_ they can work together, but in the _software_ plan, everything is in your hands :)

Just in case, the Arduino Ethernet Shield is NOT an Arduino, it's an add-on board for the Aruino Uno. I won’t answer offhand about the inputs, you need to read the manuals and see which legs are used. For joint work, you also need to climb into the manuals.
