Whether such sheaf of work of GIT'a at which access to files only on an administrator's sphere is possible?

There is a corporate site, it can be accessed via the admin share (although there are no shares, just admin access :) ) i.e.:
\\web-server\C$\www
I edit files from the client machine through brackets and everything is fine.
There is a wish to take all this business under control of GIT'a. But it doesn't work with cd to go to this very admin ball.
