Where to start learning the http protocol?

Good day.
I want to start learning the HTTP protocol for writing client-server applications.
Please recommend a book on this topic. I'm surprised that this question hasn't been asked before.

Проще с веб-сайтов начать, сначала HTML, это уже будет HTTP, только все внутри браузера, а потом AJAX, это уже полноценные "самодельные" HTTP-запросы.
