Where to start learning the basics?
There was a desire to understand the field of modern technologies, but a clear answer was not found. The requirements are what you need to read / watch in order to understand what a computer is and how it works, what an operating system is, how computers interact with each other (networks). In general, I would like to know the basics of what lies at the foundation of modern technologies.

Yes, how deep do you want to learn the basics? Personally, I like the option of installing different Linuxes, where you do everything yourself. Some just need to install Gentoo (an OC of the Linux family), others use LFS (a book on how to build Linux from scratch). You can also build FreeBSD from scratch. You will gain knowledge of how the OS works and consolidate everything in practice. Reading literature/websites is boring.
