Where to start and how to make a website if you are a graph designer?

Hello!
The story may seem strange, but I would be glad of any possible help. By education, a graph designer, in his last year thin. insta. On the diploma "handed over" the topic - the site of the institute. To my surprise, they did not give me a programmer who would chew on what and how. TK is very vague, the main thing is that it looks cool on the monitor and is suitable for implementation. Even knowing photoshop and illustrator, I simply don’t know where to start, how to prepare the basis of the site, what sizes and what to dance from.
I ask for advice, infe, everything that can help in the work.

Where to start - take some guide (for example, Material Design) and follow it. Once you know Illustrator, download the templates for this guide (by the way, Google itself distributes them on the official website of the material) to make drawing easier (it's always easier to draw in the image and likeness of something ready-made that you can pick out in the program). For starters, just try to redraw the site beautifully - don't touch the interface, don't change the logic, just make it beautiful.
Nothing complicated, the main thing is to start - and get involved.

Learn the layout, in any case, a designer without knowledge of the elementary basics of the behavior of elements is doomed to be pelted with coffee mugs.
htmlacademy is more than enough if your design is not very heavy)
If you need help, please contact. In VK, the nickname is the same.

The easiest option is to take a template on some popular CMS. Wordpress is suitable for a business card site. Study the layout (htmlbook) and go ahead, edit the template for your design.
