Where to set kernel settings on uefi boot?

I put a fresh system (linux mint 15) on a laptop with UEFI.
And it was necessary to change the kernel settings (GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in the /etc/default/grub file. Where all sorts of “quiet splashes” go by default).
But there is no file :)
Actually, the question is, where to set the settings now?
While hands corrected directly. Works, but before the first update :(

1. Most likely you have grub1 version.

update-grub -v

2. See if this file is in the system?
/etc/sysconfig/grub2

And just in case, my file, also Mint 15 and also UEFI:
/etc/default/grub
[email protected] ~ $ cat /etc/default/grub
# If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
# /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
# For full documentation of the options in this file, see:
#   info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration'

GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
GRUB_TIMEOUT=10
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian`
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

@AterCattus

# update-grub -v
grub-mkconfig (GRUB) 2.00 -13ubuntu3
There is no /etc/sysconfig/ folder at all.
/boot/grub/ only has:
fonts/
locale/
x86_64-efi/
grub.cfg
grubenv

So do you have GRUB at all? You may have a different bootloader, or none at all. I don't know about Mint, but make sure you're using GRUB.
