According to the plan, the contractor had to leave half a meter of margin in case the server rack was moved, but in the end it turned out more than three. In the process of equipping the server room, this did not bother me too much - and there were many problems besides the cable - but now the work is coming to an end, and the temporary "donut" from the twisted pair cable under the ceiling has begun to strain. Both in terms of reliability and internal perfectionist.
The situation is as follows: there is a server cabinet in the middle of the room. Cable bundles are pulled up to the ceiling from three sides, assembled into a mega-bundle and lowered into the cabinet through cable entries in the roof. A mega-beam is about 20 centimeters in diameter and does not differ in plasticity at all.
At the moment, to hide this shame and disgrace out of sight, I rolled this cable cthulhu as neatly as I could into a bagel inside the cabinet (took 2 units and a little) and secured it to the roof and vertical rails of the cabinet with a ton of tears, prayers and nylon ties.
It looks infernal and does not correspond to the philosophical practices of Crepsondo at all. And, frankly, the 3 unit of the place is also very pitiful.
How to be? What to do? Any options are considered, up to fixing the donut on the wall, painting it in the manner of a lifebuoy and placing appropriate inscriptions.
Except one. No, I will not cut this quiet horror and re-embroider the patch panel. I don't get paid that much.

Ну обычно медный запас в лазах просто несколько раз обматывают внутри стоек по кругу каркаса во весь рост и ширину стойки и закрепляют стяжками к каркасу. Ваш подрядчик схалтурил, а вы это проглядели.

I would have hung a bracket on the wall, in it there was a loop of spare wire, and switches, and next to it was a half-empty rack with servers and a reserve of space for the future.

А чего вы ожидали? Делать нужно без "возможно мы что-то передвинем"! А при вашем подходе ... излишки остаётся только выгрузить в астрал!!!

Мы у одного заказчика запас группами по 10-20 кабелей собрали в кольца (на пластиковых хомутах-стяжках) и повесили на дюбели над потолком. Таким образом вниз уходят только группы, которые сразу попадают в коммутатор.
