Where to save pictures, in which directory would be the most correct from this point of view?
I read about the directory hierarchy but did not find my example.
Just dump in /home
Pictures are intended for distribution by nginx.

To the domain's home directory. Usually, a user is either created in / home and stored there or / var / www
