Where to move the storage directory to Opencart?

Installed Opencart on VPS with VESTA panel. After installation, I go to the admin panel, an " Important security message! " pops up, which says: " Attention! This is important. For greater security, you should move the storage directory storage outside the root directory of the site (for example, in public_html, www or htdocs) . "
After automatic transfer (and manual transfer too), the admin panel becomes inoperable, errors pop up:

What version did you install? Have you tried moving the directory manually? Have you tried manually changing the paths in the configs? Does the script have access to the directory above? ... did you check it in simple ways?
