With a supervisor, I chose the above topic for my master's work. The essence of the work boils down to the fact that you need to write a program that will correctly process queries to the database. For example, there is a database with data on utility payers (fields full name, address, etc.), we connect to the database and look for a payer named Pitrov, if such a surname is not in the database, but there is Petrov, then the program displays either all similar surnames or, as in Google, perhaps you meant Petrov.
As HP explained, it all comes down to fuzzy search.
Actually the question is, maybe someone has come across such or a similar task, tell me in which direction to dig, perhaps some articles, algorithms, any material that may be useful when studying this topic.
