Where to look for .htpasswd?

I'm moving the site to another server and can't figure out where to look for .htpasswd.
Google says the path to the file is specified using AuthUserFile, but there is no such parameter in .htaccess.
How to understand where to look for it?

If there is no .htpasswd file, then you can create it and specifically write it in .htaccess and then in the htpasswd config, write the path to the file in the line AuthUserFile /path_to_file/.htpasswd
